Sleeping With Sirens are not easing back into things. Four years since Complete Collapse, the band just dropped a brand new music video for "Forever/Always" and officially announced their eighth studio album, An Ending In Itself, arriving June 12 via Rise Records. This is a big one.

For context, this is their first release on Rise Records in 13 years. The last time they put out a record through Rise was Feel back in 2013, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Before that, Rise was home to With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear and the gold-certified Let's Cheers To This, which gave us the platinum single "If You Can't Hang." So yeah, the homecoming is real.

The "Forever/Always" Video

The new video, directed by Max Moore (who's worked with A Day To Remember and Coheed And Cambria), is a raw, stripped-down performance piece set in an early spring forest. It channels this mid-2000s alternative visual energy with high-contrast imagery and a haunting, memory-soaked atmosphere. It feels nostalgic without being a throwback, if that makes sense.

Kellin Quinn got personal about the meaning behind the track. He shared that his family had been planning a move to Michigan before ultimately returning to Oregon, and during that time both his daughter and his wife went through serious health struggles. "It's a song about standing by and just being there as an anchor as much as I could for my family," Quinn explained. He also called it a thank you to the people who show up during the good and challenging moments, and expressed hope that the song brings fans and their friends closer together.

I'll be real, that kind of vulnerability is exactly what makes Sleeping With Sirens hit different. It's not manufactured emotion. You can hear it.

About the Album

An Ending In Itself was produced by Will Yip, the guy behind records from Turnstile and Circa Survive. Quinn noted that the title track was actually the first song the band wrote together with Yip, describing the process as a return to their origins. Getting in a room, playing as a band, bouncing off each other. That energy comes through.

If you've been following the arc of this band, you know the story. After Gossip in 2017 leaned into a slicker pop direction and divided the fanbase, they course-corrected hard with 2019's grittier How It Feels To Be Lost and then pushed even further on 2022's Complete Collapse. This new record is described as both a culmination and a continuation, completing that emotional arc while reconnecting with the spirit that started everything.

The current lineup features Kellin Quinn on vocals, Nick Martin on guitar, Justin Hills on bass, Matty Best on drums, and Tony Pizzuti on guitar. Pizzuti, formerly of The Word Alive, joined after Jack Fowler departed the band in 2022.

Honestly, fifteen years in and Sleeping With Sirens are hitting a stride that feels earned. The return to Rise, the Will Yip production, the vulnerability in these new songs. It all points to a band that knows exactly what they want to say and isn't wasting a second getting there. If you haven't locked in your pre-order or grabbed tickets yet, don't sleep on this one.
