Saturday night at House of Blues Anaheim was one for the books. I honestly showed up for Dying Wish. Their new album Flesh Stays Together dropped the day before and I had to see what it sounded like live. By the end of the night I left completely converted into a full-on Poppy fan. Earlier this week, Self Checkout confirmed vocalist Ahren Stringer (ex The Amity Affliction) suffered a serious health emergency and was rushed to hospital just hours before the release of their debut single Death Notes. Ahren is now stable and receiving ongoing care. The band and his family thank fans for the outpouring of support and ask that speculation is avoided while the focus remains on his health.
