Saosin just lit the fuse. The band dropped a teaser on their Instagram earlier this month, a short cryptic video with nothing but a date, and it's pointing to new music that's been a long time coming. The single is called Starting Over Again, and honestly, the title alone feels like a statement.

This is the first taste of their fourth studio album, and if you've been keeping track, that makes it a full decade since Along the Shadow dropped back in May 2016. Ten years between records is a long stretch for any band. But this isn't the same Saosin that made that album. The lineup has shifted in a big way, and that's exactly what makes this so interesting.

Cove Reber Is Back

For anyone who grew up on Saosin's self-titled record and In Search of Solid Ground, the biggest news here is that Cove Reber is officially back as the band's vocalist. He rejoined in 2024, replacing Anthony Green, and the band made it very clear this was the real deal. They posted a photo with Cove and longtime touring guitarist Phil Sgrosso as full-time members, captioned simply "4.0." Fourth major lineup era. New chapter.

Guitarist Beau Burchell had previously mentioned plans to have Cove feature on the fourth album, so this has clearly been in the works for a while. The band entered the studio in early 2025 to work on the new material, and now we're finally seeing the results.

A World Tour to Go With It

The new single isn't dropping in a vacuum. Saosin have a full world tour rolling out in 2026 that hits New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and the United States. They're not easing back in. They're going everywhere.

The Australian leg is particularly loaded. They're celebrating 20 years of their iconic self-titled album and playing it in full alongside their biggest hits. Senses Fail will be joining them as support across all the Australian dates, which is a killer pairing.

Tickets and How to Get Them

For the Australian dates, tickets are available through Destroy All Lines. For the Slam Dunk Festival dates in the UK, head to slamdunkfestival.com. International dates are going through Ticketmaster as well. These are mid-size venue shows for the most part, and with the hype around Cove's return and a new album cycle, I wouldn't wait around on these.

Why This Matters

I'll be real, Saosin with Cove on vocals is the version of this band that shaped an entire wave of post-hardcore. The self-titled record turns 20 this year, and hearing those songs live with the voice that defined them is something a lot of people thought they'd never get again. The fact that they're writing new material together on top of that makes this feel like more than just a nostalgia run.

The Slam Dunk Festival appearance is worth highlighting too. The festival is going hard on post-hardcore and metalcore this year with dedicated stages and zero set clashes in those genres. Saosin playing that lineup just makes sense.

If you've been sleeping on Saosin, now is the time to pay attention. New single incoming, a full album on the way, and a world tour that's already filling up fast. Go grab tickets before they're gone.
