Golden Gate Park is about to have one hell of a weekend. Outside Lands just unveiled the lineup for their 2026 edition and it reads like someone reached into my brain and pulled out the perfect festival bill. Charli XCX, The Strokes, and RÜFÜS DU SOL are headlining the three-day fest running August 7th through 9th, and the undercard is just as ridiculous.

San Francisco's flagship festival is back for its 18th year and they clearly came to make a statement. Sitting right below the headliners you've got The xx, Turnstile, Baby Keem, Clipse, Death Cab for Cutie, Wet Leg, Empire of the Sun, Ethel Cain, and Labrinth. That alone would be worth showing up for, but there's so much more packed into this thing.

A Lineup That Covers Everything

What makes this year's Outside Lands lineup so strong is the range. You've got Charli XCX coming in hot off the massive cultural moment that was Brat, which completely dominated 2024 and turned her into one of the biggest pop acts on the planet. Her live shows have been electric, and a festival headlining slot in Golden Gate Park is the exact energy that album deserves.

Then you've got The Strokes on the bill, which is always a treat. Julian Casablancas and company remain one of those bands that just sounds better in a festival setting. That loose, effortless cool translates perfectly to a big outdoor stage.

And I'll be real, The xx being on this lineup is a huge deal. They've been largely quiet for years, and any chance to see Romy, Oliver, and Jamie xx together on a stage should be treated like the event that it is. If you know, you know.

The Undercard Is Stacked

Honestly, I could talk about the undercard all day. Turnstile is going to turn their set into a full contact sport, which is exactly what you want at a festival. Geese, Djo, Dijon, and Wet Leg are all acts that have been building serious momentum, and seeing them on a festival stage this big is going to be a blast.

One detail that caught my eye is Death Cab for Cutie pulling double duty with both an early afternoon set and an evening set. That's a bold move and it suggests they're going to do something special with those two slots, maybe a deep cuts set and a hits set. Either way, Death Cab fans are eating well.

Further down the poster you'll find Lucy Dacus, Modest Mouse, Glorilla, Tinashe, Sierra Ferrell, The Story So Far, The Temper Trap, Wunderhorse, Yard Act, Bad Nerves, and a collaborative set from GRiZTronics (that's Subtronics and GRiZ joining forces). This lineup genuinely has something for everyone.

How to Get Tickets

General on-sale is Thursday, March 5th at 12:00 p.m. PST through the Outside Lands website. If you're a loyalty member or Chase cardholder, pre-sale tickets are available right now. Ranger pre-sale opens up on Wednesday, March 4th at 12:00 p.m. PT. Pass options include three-day GA, GA+, and VIP.

Outside Lands has always been one of the best festival experiences on the West Coast. The combination of Golden Gate Park's natural beauty, San Francisco's food and wine scene (Gastromagic and Wine Lands are unmatched), and consistently strong bookings makes it worth the trip every single year. This lineup is no exception.

If you've been looking for a reason to make the trip to San Francisco this summer, this is it. Three days, Golden Gate Park, and a lineup that covers indie, pop, hip hop, electronic, hardcore, and everything in between. Don't wait on this one.
