Mission Bayfest 2026 Drops a Stacked Lineup for Its Fifth Anniversary

Five years in and Mission Bayfest is not slowing down. The San Diego festival just unveiled its 2026 lineup, and it's headlined by The Offspring, Rebelution, and Hawaiian reggae-pop favorite Kolohe Kai. A total of 27 acts will play across three days at Mariner's Point from October 16 through 18, and this thing has quietly become one of the biggest concert events Mission Bay has ever seen.
If you've been following Bayfest since the early days, you know the growth has been wild. It started back in 2022 as a one-day event called San Diego Bayfest at downtown's Waterfront Park. By 2023 it expanded to two days and relocated to Mariner's Point. Last year's edition pulled 33,000 people through the gates. Now the festival is projecting around 45,000 for the weekend. That's a serious leap for a homegrown festival built by three San Diego locals.
The Full Lineup by Day
Friday, October 16 is anchored by Rebelution with support from Steel Pulse, The Movement, Surfer Girl, Joe Samba, Doah's Daydream, Cappo, and Kelley. Steel Pulse on a Friday night at the bay is going to hit different. That's a strong way to kick things off.
Saturday, October 17 brings the island vibes with Kolohe Kai headlining alongside Common Kings, SOJA, Landon McNamara, For Peace Band, Kanaka Fyah, Eureka Sound, Kekoa the Artist, Kela, and Saco. Kolohe Kai dropped their fifth studio album What Aloha Means last year, so expect plenty of new material mixed in with the classics. Saturday is going to be a full-on reggae day at the bay.
Sunday, October 18 closes it out with the heaviest day on the bill. The Offspring headline with The Interrupters, Goldfinger, The Expendables, Jakob's Castle, Sitting on Saturn, Ries Brothers, Kyle Smith, Sullvn, The Resignators, and The Last Call. I'll be real, that Sunday card with The Offspring, The Interrupters, and Goldfinger alone is worth the price of admission.
The Offspring Are Riding High
The Offspring released Supercharged in October 2024, produced by Bob Rock, and the band has been active on the road since. The album was the first to feature bassist Todd Morse as an official member and drummer Brandon Pertzborn, and it delivered singles like "Make It All Right" and "Light It Up" that reminded everyone Dexter Holland and company still have plenty left in the tank. Catching them outdoors at the bay on a Sunday night in October is going to be something special.
A Festival Built by San Diego, for San Diego
What makes Mission Bayfest feel different from most festivals is its roots. It was co-founded by three San Diegans: Dominic Coleman, Joe Rinaldi of the Music Box, and DJ Mikey Beats from Sleeping Giant Music. These are people who actually know the local scene. The festival has stayed true to that California reggae-rock-surf culture since day one, and the lineups reflect it. Last year they had Sublime and Slightly Stoopid headlining. The year before that it was Stick Figure, Cypress Hill, and Wiz Khalifa. They keep leveling up while staying on brand.
And honestly, the setting is hard to beat. Mariner's Point sits right on Mission Bay. You're watching live music with the water right there. It's a cashless event, there's free parking at the Hospitality Point Dirt Lot with a shuttle, and rideshare has its own dedicated drop-off area near the entrance. The 8 bus also runs from Old Town to a stop near the festival if you want to skip driving entirely.
Tickets and How to Get Them
General public on-sale is Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. PT through bayfestsd.com. A pre-sale starts Thursday on the same site. Here's the pricing breakdown:
Single-day GA: $95
Three-day GA: $235
Single-day VIP: $325
Three-day VIP: $825
At $235 for three days of this lineup, that's genuinely solid value. If you're only going one day, Sunday with The Offspring closing it out is the obvious move, but honestly all three days are stacked.
Don't Sleep on This One
Mission Bayfest has quietly become one of the best festival weekends in Southern California. The fact that it went from a single-day event in 2022 to pulling nearly 45,000 people tells you everything. If you're anywhere near San Diego in October, this is the one. Grab your tickets at bayfestsd.com before they're gone.
