MGK and Fred Durst Team Up for a New Nu Metal Collab

I'll be real, this is a crossover I didn't have on my 2026 bingo card. Machine Gun Kelly just dropped a live preview of a brand new collaboration with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, and it sounds exactly like the nu-metal throwback you're hoping it is.

MGK debuted the unreleased track on April 8 at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, kicking off the Australian leg of his Lost Americana Tour. The song has been floating around under two names. It showed up on setlists as "Fix Your Face" but was introduced to the Perth crowd as "All Around The World." Either way, it goes hard.

How It All Started

The first hint came during a Twitch stream where MGK previewed a snippet of something with unmistakable Limp Bizkit DNA all over it. Then on February 15 at Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, Italy, he played a pre-recorded excerpt during his set. Fan-shot footage hit the internet immediately and the speculation went into overdrive. Theprp.com covered the tease and things only picked up from there.

By the time the Australian tour dates rolled around, MGK was ready to let the full thing breathe. In Perth, he told the crowd, "I called up my friend Fred Durst. I said, 'Sir, drop something on this.' What he dropped... the rest is history." That's one way to introduce a track. Kerrang! has the full story on the live debut if you want all the details.

What the Track Sounds Like

Honestly, it sounds like MGK went back to the crib and dug up everything that made him want to rap in the first place. The track features him flowing over bouncy nu-metal riffs with Durst's vocals woven in throughout. It's been referenced as "Track 14" in relation to the thirteen tracks on Lost Americana, which is notable because that album didn't feature a single guest appearance. This would be the first collaboration in MGK's current era.

For what it's worth, Durst wasn't there in person for the live performances. His parts were pre-recorded and played during the set. But that hasn't stopped the energy from translating. MGK also teased the track on his Instagram Story, writing, "An unreleased song has no business going this hard." He's not wrong.

A Music Video Is Coming

On top of the live tease, MGK and Fred Durst were spotted together in Nashville filming what appears to be a music video. The two were seen at a nearby bar with cameras rolling. So this isn't just a loosie that lives on a setlist forever. Something official is in the works.

Fan communities have been pointing to April 21 as a potential release date. MGK himself has said the song is dropping "this month," and the timeline adds up. That said, no official press release from his camp has confirmed the exact date yet. Keep your eyes on his socials.

Why This Pairing Makes Sense

If you've been following MGK at all over the last few years, this isn't as random as it might seem. He's toured alongside Limp Bizkit, joined them onstage, and has covered their material at his own shows. The working relationship has been building for a while. A proper studio collab was honestly overdue.

And for MGK, this feels like a statement. Lost Americana dropped in August 2025 and explored deeply personal themes of family, friendship, and addiction. No features, no guest spots. It was an intentionally solo project. So the fact that his first collaboration coming out of that album cycle is with Fred Durst of all people tells you where his head is at. At the Melbourne show on April 11, he straight up told the crowd a "new rap era" is coming.
