Anthony Green just announced a U.S. solo tour that sounds like it's going to be one of the more interesting runs of the summer. It's called This Tour Won't Save You, and if you've followed Green's career at all, the name alone tells you this isn't going to be a setlist-by-numbers kind of thing.

The tour kicks off July 23 in Atlantic City and runs through late August, wrapping up in Rutherford, New Jersey. In between, he's hitting Toronto, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, New York, and more cities across North America. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 16 at noon local time.

A Not-So-Standard Solo Tour

I'll be real, this is the kind of tour I wish more artists would do. Green isn't just going out there to play the hits and call it a night. He's promising "different and weirder versions" of songs pulled from across his entire catalog. That means Circa Survive material, Saosin era stuff, L.S. Dunes, The Sound of Animals Fighting, and his solo work, all reshaped and reworked in real time. New material is in the mix too. The whole idea is that no two nights will feel the same.

The tour name itself seems to be a nod to a new song Green recently dropped called This Song Won't Save You, which is currently available on YouTube and Bandcamp. That kind of direct, self-aware energy is exactly what makes Green such a compelling artist. He's never been one to oversell himself.

The Collaborators

Green isn't doing this completely solo. Keith Goodwin of Good Old War will be with him on every date. Goodwin played on Green's 2008 debut solo album Avalon, so these two go way back. Having that kind of chemistry on stage every night is going to make the experimental approach actually work.

On select dates, the lineup expands with some heavy hitters. Geoff Rickly of Thursday will be joining for some shows. Rickly has contributed guest vocals to Circa Survive's The Lottery in the past, so the creative crossover is already there. Chicago math rock favorites Maps & Atlases will also pop up on select nights. Dave Davison of the band contributed to Green's solo album Beautiful Things, so again, these aren't random pairings. Goon rounds out the rotating support on select dates as well.

The Pre-Show Experience

This is where it gets really interesting. In select cities, Green is offering a limited pre-show acoustic performance and gathering. It's not just a meet-and-greet. It's a stripped-down set, early entry, a photo op, signed memorabilia, and a raffle entry for a lifetime guest-list spot. Yeah, lifetime. Green is also encouraging fans to bring stuff to trade, share music, and just connect before the show. It's less VIP package and more of an actual community hangout. Pre-show packages are on sale now.

Honestly, this is the kind of thing that only works when an artist has spent years building real trust with their audience. Green has that.

Why This Tour Matters Right Now

Green has been incredibly active over the past couple of years. He released Last Summer In America in August 2024, followed by So Long, Avalon in June 2025, which was a full reworking of his 2008 debut Avalon, released via Born Losers Records. He also put out a live album, Reconcile At The Tile Works, Recorded Live, captured at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works in Doylestown, PA. That one's only available physically, not on streaming, which says a lot about how Green thinks about his art and his audience.

Meanwhile, L.S. Dunes, his project with Frank Iero, Travis Stever, Tim Payne, and Tucker Rule, released their second album Violet in January 2025. And Circa Survive are returning for their first shows in almost five years. So this solo tour sits in a pretty exciting moment where all of Green's worlds are active at once.

Tour Dates

The This Tour Won't Save You U.S. leg runs from July 23 through late August 2026. Confirmed cities include Atlantic City, Toronto, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, New York, and Rutherford, NJ. A European and UK leg is also in the works, with a confirmed date at Die Kantine in Cologne on November 17, 2026.

For the full list of dates and venues, check Anthony Green's official site or track him on Bandsintown.

General tickets go on sale Friday, May 16 at noon local time. Pre-show acoustic packages are already available. If you've ever wanted to see Green in a setting where the walls between artist and audience actually come down, this is the one. Don't sleep on it.
