Taking Back Sunday Hit the Road This Fall With Thrice and Saves the Day

Taking Back Sunday just gave us one of the best tour announcements of the year. The band is heading out on a full five-week U.S. run this fall with Thrice and Saves the Day in tow. If that lineup doesn't immediately take you back, I don't know what will.
The tour kicks off September 16 at The Pinnacle in Nashville and wraps up October 18 at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas. In between, the band is hitting theaters, amphitheaters, and a couple of festival stops across the country. It's a well-routed run that covers the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast.
The Red Rocks Show Is the One to Circle
Here's the big one. On October 14, Taking Back Sunday will play Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, for a special 20th anniversary celebration of Louder Now. The album originally dropped on April 25, 2006, and it was a career-defining moment for the band. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, was certified Gold in just two months, and gave us "MakeDamnSure," "Liar (It Takes One to Know One)," and "Twenty-Twenty Surgery." Twenty years later, it still hits.
This will be the only headline performance of the full Louder Now album this year. And to make it even more special, former guitarist Fred Mascherino will be joining them on stage.
Fred Mascherino Is Back
If you've been following Taking Back Sunday since the early days, you know what a big deal this is. Mascherino was a full-time member from 2004 to 2007 and played a key role in writing and recording both Where You Want to Be and Louder Now. He'll be performing alongside guitarist John Nolan at all shows throughout 2026.
Fans got a taste of what that looks like back in December 2024 when Mascherino appeared during the band's Holiday Spectacular at Starland Ballroom, hopping on stage for "Liar (It Takes One to Know One)" and "MakeDamnSure." Now it's the full commitment for the entire tour cycle. That's the version of this band you want to see live.
The Support Is Stacked
I'll be real, the support lineup alone is worth the ticket price. Thrice have been on an incredible run. Their most recent album, Horizons/West, came out in October 2025 via Epitaph, and the band has been sounding as sharp as ever. They posted on Instagram about how excited they are for this run, specifically calling out Red Rocks as a bucket list venue for them.
Then you've got Saves the Day, one of the most important bands in the emo and punk scene. Stay What You Are is a classic for a reason. Their most recent studio album, 9, dropped in 2018 through Equal Vision Records. Seeing them share a bill with TBS and Thrice feels like a love letter to an entire generation of music fans.
What Adam Lazzara Had to Say
TBS frontman Adam Lazzara summed it up perfectly: "We've been planning and preparing for this tour for a while. Rehearsing all the material and the arrangements we've worked out, I am so happy with how the band has taken shape. We also get to play a special show on a beautiful night in October at Red Rocks to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Louder Now. Who better to go out on the road to share all that with than Saves The Day and Thrice? We love those guys. Always have. So, if you're up for a good time, that's what we'll be chasing."
Honestly, that energy is exactly what this tour needs. No pretension, just three bands that love playing together going out and doing what they do best.
Craft Recordings Anniversary Edition
On top of the tour, Taking Back Sunday is collaborating with Craft Recordings on a special anniversary edition of Louder Now. Details are still under wraps, but if you're a collector, keep your eyes on that one.
