Periphery Is Taking the Pale White Dot Tour Across 20 U.S. Cities This Fall

Periphery just dropped their fall tour plans, and yeah, this one's going to be massive. The band is taking A Pale White Dot on the road for a 20-city run across the U.S. and Canada starting October 22 in Philadelphia and wrapping November 18 in Raleigh. They're bringing Ne Obliviscaris, Greyhaven, and Ando San along for every date. That is a stacked bill.

The New Album Changes Things Up

A Pale White Dot dropped on May 15 through the band's own label, 3DOT Recordings, and it's a different beast than what longtime fans might expect. This is arguably Periphery's most accessible record. The band leaned into more conventional metalcore elements this time around, packing the 12 tracks with massive chorus hooks and relentlessly heavy moments. No song on the album even crosses the five-minute mark, which is wild for a band that used to craft 10-plus minute prog epics on the regular.

There's a lot worth digging into here. The album marks the first time the band recorded with 6-string 30" baritone guitars tuned to F standard, which is a major seventh below standard tuning. That's absurdly low. Will Ramos from Lorna Shore shows up on the track "Subhuman," and it's exactly the kind of collaboration you'd hope for. Other standouts include "Heaven On High," "Obsession," and the acoustic title track closer. It's also the first Periphery album to ditch the three-dot logo and break from their typical naming conventions since Juggernaut: Alpha and Omega back in 2015.

The Support Lineup Is No Joke

I'll be real, the support on this tour might be just as exciting as the headliner for a lot of people. Ne Obliviscaris is one of the most ambitious extreme metal bands out there right now. The Melbourne-based group blends progressive metal, black metal, death metal, and classical violin into something completely their own. They've been touring relentlessly behind their 2023 album Exul and have hinted at new material potentially landing in 2026. If you haven't caught them live yet, this tour is your chance. Violinist and clean vocalist Tim Charles alone is worth the price of admission.

Greyhaven brings the chaos from a different angle. The Louisville four-piece has been steadily building momentum in the progressive metalcore and post-hardcore world. Their third full-length, Keep It Quiet, came out in October 2025 on Solid State Records, and they've been turning heads ever since. They fit this bill perfectly.

Rounding things out is Ando San, a San Fernando Valley native who calls his sound "prog-hop." He started as a metal vocalist at 13 and has since carved out a lane that fuses progressive guitar work with hip hop, boom-bap, and jazz influences. Honestly, he's the kind of wild card opener that could steal a few hearts on this tour.

Why This Tour Matters

Periphery has been at this for over two decades now. The band formed in D.C. back in 2005 when guitarist Misha Mansoor started building a following through online forums and Soundclick, and they've since become one of the defining acts of the progressive metal and djent movement. Spencer Sotelo, Mark Holcomb, Jake Bowen, and Matt Halpern round out a lineup that has consistently pushed the genre forward across eight studio albums.

This tour also comes right after their European run, which includes stops at major festivals like Download Festival alongside Rain City Drive, Profiler, and Obeyer. So by the time they hit U.S. stages in October, this set is going to be locked in tight.

With the new album leaning heavier into accessible, crushing metalcore territory and the band swapping their signature extended compositions for tighter, more direct songs, this tour cycle is shaping up to be a different kind of Periphery live experience. Pair that with the absolute gauntlet of a support lineup and you've got one of the strongest progressive metal packages of the fall.

Don't sleep on presales tomorrow. These rooms aren't arenas. A lot of these dates are going to move fast.
