Trivium Hits the Road This Fall With In Flames and a Stacked Lineup

Trivium just announced one of the heaviest tour packages of 2026, and if you're a fan of modern metal in any capacity, this one deserves your full attention. The Grammy-nominated four-piece is heading out on a 32-date North American headline run this fall with In Flames, Orbit Culture, Fit for an Autopsy, and Frozen Soul rounding out the bill. That's a top-to-bottom monster of a lineup.
The tour kicks off November 5th in St. Petersburg, Florida, at Jannus Live and wraps up December 19th in Charlotte, North Carolina, at The Fillmore. In between, you're looking at stops in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, and a whole lot more. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, July 24th at 10 a.m. local time through trivium.org.
A New Era for Trivium
This isn't just another tour cycle. This run marks a real turning point for Trivium. It's their first major North American tour with drummer Alex Rüdinger, who joined the band in 2025 after previously playing with Whitechapel. And on top of that, frontman Matt Heafy has been very vocal about what's coming next. At Download Festival in June 2026, Heafy told Rock Sound that the band is "sitting on arguably our greatest album of all time," adding that the record is still being mixed and is tentatively expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
The upcoming album will be Trivium's eleventh studio record and the first to feature Rüdinger on drums. The band plans to debut new material live during this tour, which makes every single one of these dates feel like an event. Their last full-length, In the Court of the Dragon, dropped in October 2021, and they followed it up with the Struck Dead EP in fall 2025, their final recording with former drummer Alex Bent.
The band said it best in their announcement: "The lineup is stacked from top to bottom, and we're honored to have special guests In Flames, who not only influenced our early years but continue to prove time and again why they're one of the greatest metal bands of all time."
The Support Lineup Is No Joke
Let's talk about the undercard, because this is where the tour goes from great to unmissable. In Flames and Frozen Soul are on board for all 32 dates. Orbit Culture will handle the first 11 shows, and Fit for an Autopsy picks up the remaining 21 dates.
In Flames needs no introduction. The Swedish pioneers have been shaping the Gothenburg metal sound since 1990, and they're still firing on all cylinders. They've been touring hard through Europe this summer and will bring that energy straight into this fall run.
Frozen Soul is a cool connection here too. Matt Heafy produced their 2023 full-length Glacial Domination, so there's a real bond between these camps. And if you haven't caught Orbit Culture or Fit for an Autopsy live yet, trust me, you want to show up early for this one.
