Hayley Williams Finally Launches Her First Solo Tour After Six Years of Waiting

Six years. That's how long Hayley Williams has been trying to get a solo tour off the ground. She first announced plans for one back in 2020 to support Petals for Armor, then the pandemic wiped those plans entirely. But on Friday night in Atlanta, it finally happened. Williams took the stage at the Tabernacle for the opening night of the Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party Tour, and by all accounts, it was worth every day of that wait.
The 18-song setlist was no warm-up lap. Williams played every single track from Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, many of them performed live for the very first time. She also threw in a cover of Nina Simone's Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood and closed the night with Parachute featuring Josh Scogin of The Chariot and Norma Jean. Williams credited Scogin as an influence on Paramore's early years, which is a deep cut reference that honestly makes the whole thing feel even more personal.

Why This Tour Matters
I'll be real, this isn't just another album cycle tour. This is a milestone. Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party dropped on August 28, 2025, and it's Williams' third solo record. It came four years after Flowers for Vases / Descansos in 2021 and two years after Paramore's This Is Why. It's also her first independent release after leaving Atlantic Records in 2023, ending a relationship that stretched back over 20 years to when she signed as part of Paramore.
The album racked up four Grammy nominations: Best Rock Performance for Mirtazapine, Best Rock Song for Glum, Best Alternative Music Performance for Parachute, and Best Alternative Music Album. That's not a fluke. The record clearly connected with people, and now she's bringing all of it to the stage.
The Venues Tell the Story
One thing I really respect about this tour is the venue choices. Williams could have gone bigger. Instead, she booked intimate rooms. Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. Fox Theater in Oakland. The Wiltern in LA. These are all 2,000 to 3,500 capacity spaces. She's clearly prioritizing intimacy over spectacle, and honestly, that makes total sense for this record.
And every single show sold out. The initial announcement was met with massive demand. Even after adding multiple dates in several cities, they all went almost instantly. If you don't have tickets already, you're looking at the secondary market at this point.
Support Acts
Water From Your Eyes is the primary support on most dates, and that pairing is incredibly intentional. Williams has been vocal about how much the indie-pop duo influenced the making of this album. She said she listened to them the entire time the record was being made and even caught a few of their shows during that period. Quote from Williams: "I can't wait to be backstage and hear them playing while I'm getting ready every night, because I do think they've become part of the world of making this record." Snuggle and Tiberius b round out support on select dates across the run.

Don't Sleep On This
Honestly, if you've been following Williams' solo journey from Petals for Armor through Flowers for Vases to now, this tour feels like the payoff to a story that's been building for years. She's independent. She's Grammy-nominated. She's playing rooms that are small enough to feel every note. And the fact that she opened with the full album, front to back, on night one tells you exactly how confident she is in this material.
Every show is sold out, but if you can find tickets on the secondary market through Ticketmaster or your local venue's box office, do not hesitate. This is a once in a lifetime kind of first. You don't get to see an artist do their debut solo tour twice.
