AFI are not slowing down. The band just announced a third leg of their North American tour, and this time they're stretching it from Mexico City all the way up to Toronto with Choir Boy joining as support on the majority of dates.

This fall run follows two previous legs that have proven AFI still pack rooms. Their 2025 headline tour was the band's first in three years, and they sold out venues like Oakland's Fox Theater to the tune of nearly 2,900 tickets. The momentum has clearly carried over.

The Fall Dates

The tour kicks off September 26 in Mexico City at Pabellon Oeste, then heads stateside for a run through October. Here's what we know so far:

09/26 – Mexico City, Mexico @ Pabellon Oeste

10/04 – Sacramento, CA @ Aftershock Festival

10/10 – Sayreville, NJ @ Starland Ballroom

10/11 – Baltimore, MD @ Novermore Music Hall

10/13 – Norfolk, VA @ The Norva

10/14 – Columbus, OH @ Newport Music Hall

10/16 – Milwaukee, WI (venue TBA)

10/19 – Toronto, ON @ Danforth Music Hall (w/ Choir Boy)

Choir Boy will be on the majority of headline dates, with additional stops potentially still being added.

Why This Pairing Works

I'll be real, Choir Boy is a perfect fit for this tour. The Salt Lake City synth-pop group led by Adam Klopp brings a New Romantic, dreamy energy that slots right in with where AFI are at sonically right now. Their sophomore album Gathering Swans earned widespread acclaim when it dropped in 2020, and Paste ranked it at No. 92 on their list of the 100 best albums of the 2020s so far. If you dig the Cure, Bryan Ferry, or the Smiths, you already know the vibe.

The first leg of this tour cycle had TR/ST as the opener back in fall 2025. Choir Boy took over support duties for the spring 2026 dates and is now continuing through this fall stretch. The consistency says a lot about how well these two acts complement each other on stage.

Silver Bleeds the Black Sun… Still Hitting

All of this touring is in support of Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…, AFI's twelfth studio album, which came out October 3, 2025 via Run for Cover. Honestly, the record is a mood. Guitarist Jade Puget has talked about the band leaning into their death rock and post-punk roots on this one, citing influences like Echo & the Bunnymen, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. AllMusic gave it four stars, calling the production "lush" and "layered."

The single "Holy Visions" was named one of the best songs of 2025. If you haven't spent time with this record yet, do yourself a favor before the tour rolls through.

Tickets

Presale starts Wednesday, May 6 at 9 AM local time. General sale follows on Friday, May 8 at 10 AM local. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster. For more info, head to afireinside.net.

AFI have been the same four guys since 1998. They've gone from hardcore punk basements to platinum records and back to dark, atmospheric post-punk that feels genuinely inspired. Three legs of touring behind one album tells you everything you need to know about where this band is right now. Don't sleep on these dates.
