thrown's Latest Drop "rehearsed": Small Runtime, Always Big Damage

Swedish metalcore thrown have returned with another insane single, "rehearsed." Since forming in 2019, the band has quickly become one of the most talked-about names in modern heavy music, blending hardcore’s aggression with nu-metal’s groove in a way that feels like something thrown has claimed as it’s subtitle. Following the release of their debut full-length Excessive Guilt and a relentless touring schedule that has seen them share stages with everyone from Architects to In Flames, the band has continued to ooze out new material throughout 2026. After the success of "split" earlier this year, "rehearsed" arrives as the latest show out in what is shaping up to be yet another massive, and well-deserved, year for thrown.
Before I loop into “rehearsed”I, let me just point out, one of the most impressive things about thrown is their absolute consistency. In a genre where bands often feel pressure to reinvent themselves with every release or signing, thrown has become a name you can put all your trust in. You never go into a new thrown song wondering if the quality will hold up because it always does. Instead, the excitement comes from discovering the small differences that give each track its own unique face. The foundation remains the same: riffs that will pull your soul out, massive grooves that keep it feeling tough, and explosive energy that makes it hard for you to remain calm, but each release totally carries its own flavor (can you tell I’m a fan?). Let’s be real, It is a formula that could easily become repetitive in the wrong hands, yet thrown continue to make it feel mint. They know exactly who they are as a band, and rather than chasing trends or forcing change, they keep refining what already works. So if it’s not broken, what’s their to fix right? That is part of what makes "rehearsed" hit so hard. It sounds unmistakably like thrown while still bringing enough new elements to stand confidently on its own.
"rehearsed" is exactly what you want from a thrown song. That is not a criticism, it's the complete opposite. As Johnny called it, “It's 1:50 minutes of pure bliss.” You can always count on thrown to show up with bombs at a knife fight. There is simply no band out there that gets my body excited like thrown does. Whether your built up anger has been simmering for years or you've been having the best few weeks of your life, thrown somehow finds a way to make everyone pop off. Listening to "rehearsed" and "split" back to back feels so effing seamless, almost as if the two tracks were never meant to exist separately. The reception to "split" was incredible, and "rehearsed" feels like the perfect companion piece. Marcus Lundqvist delivers yet another jaw-dropping vocal performance, sounding as if every ounce of frustration, rage, and hardcore emotion is erupting straight from his chest. Fans immediately embraced the release, with one commenting,
"Thrown's got a new song. Hyped. It's less than two minutes. OH IT'S GONNA SLAP."
Another shared,
"I was debating on getting a ticket to their upcoming European shows. Watched the little teaser for this song on Instagram a bunch of times and then pressed buy."
The timing couldn't be any better for these guys. With the release of "rehearsed," thrown recently announced a major European and UK headlining run with support from Counterparts, No Cure, and HEAVENSGATE. HUGE bill for that. The tour will give fans plenty of opportunities to experience these songs in the environment they were clearly built for, complete insanity. With each release, thrown continues to sharpen their identity without losing impact with the walls they crush through, refining what already works while still finding deliberate ways to push their sound full force ahead, making every drop feel intentional rather than skip the repetitiveness. Don't be like me and miss out on their shows, I beg of you!!
