ShipRocked 2027 Adds Of Mice & Men, Twiztid, and More to Stacked Lineup

ShipRocked just got heavier. The 2027 edition of the premier rock cruise has expanded its already stacked lineup, adding Of Mice & Men, Twiztid, Footballhead, Andy Darling, and Ivri to a bill that was already turning heads. If you've been on the fence about booking, this might be the push you need.

The cruise sets sail January 24–30, 2027 out of Miami, Florida aboard the Carnival Horizon. This year's route hits Mahogany Bay in Roatan, Honduras (a first for ShipRocked) and Cozumel, Mexico before heading back to Florida. Nearly 30 bands, over 4,000 guests, and a full week of nonstop live music on the open water. That's the pitch, and honestly, it sells itself.

The Headliners

Papa Roach and Ice Nine Kills are leading the charge at the top of the bill. Papa Roach are no strangers to ShipRocked, and frontman Jacoby Shaddix is clearly excited about coming back: "We've had some unforgettable moments on ShipRocked, and the 2027 edition will bring even more. We'll see you ShipRockers out on the high seas!" The two-time GRAMMY-nominated band has been on a tear, with their album Ego Trip racking up over 850 million global streams and producing four number one singles. They're currently tearing through the European festival circuit and have a full fall European tour lined up with Landmvrks and Sleep Theory.

Ice Nine Kills bring the horror-metalcore energy that's made them one of the most unique live acts in heavy music. Spencer Charnas kept things on brand with his comment: "I'm positively buoyant about stepping back aboard and rocking the boat together. ShipRocked is always a (killer) whale of a time!" The band dropped a new single, "Play Dead," in June 2026 and has confirmed a new album is in the works, so there's a chance ShipRockers might hear some fresh material.

The New Additions

The wave-two additions are what really caught my attention. Of Mice & Men are a massive get for this lineup. The Costa Mesa band released their ninth studio LP, Another Miracle, in November 2025, and it's been described as their most explosive record yet. Aaron Pauley and the crew deliver a masterclass in modern heavy music that balances bone-crushing breakdowns with arena-ready rock anthems. Seeing that in a cruise setting is going to be wild.

Twiztid bring a completely different flavor to the bill, and I love that about ShipRocked. They've been incredibly active lately, dropping the album welcome to your funeral in 2025 and the EP Puzzle Box in 2026, along with a string of singles. Rounding out the new names are Footballhead, Andy Darling, and Ivri.

Additional bands and the lineup for the all-star band The Stowaways will be announced in the coming weeks.

What to Expect on Board

ShipRocked is returning for its 17th year, and the 2027 edition features a "ShipRocked Samurai" theme. Beyond the live performances, expect photo meet-and-greets with bands, artist-hosted events, theme nights, an onboard tattoo parlor, The Music Experience lounge, and all the usual cruise amenities. The Carnival Horizon comes equipped with a spa, water park, bars, dining options, and even an IMAX theater. Beloved ShipRocked "cruise director" Cookie will be hosting once again.

There's also a free pre-party on January 23 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour, just south of downtown Miami. Bands for the pre-party haven't been announced yet, but if past years are any indication, it'll be a solid way to kick things off before the ship even leaves the dock.

Coming Off a Record-Breaking 2026

I'll be real, ShipRocked has been building momentum for years, and the 2026 sailing was proof that this event is only getting bigger. The 2026 cruise sold out with over 4,100 guests, making it the largest ShipRocked to date. That lineup included Halestorm, Motionless In White, Knocked Loose, Wage War, and more than 30 bands total. On top of that, the annual Cancer Sucks! charity auction raised a record-breaking $200,000, bringing ShipRocked's all-time total to over $1.2 million for cancer research. That's the kind of community this cruise has built.
