President Announce Debut Album Blood of Your Empire Dropping September 4

President have been one of the most fascinating things happening in heavy music over the past year. An anonymous, masked metalcore band that showed up on the Download Festival 2025 poster before they'd even released a single song. No context, no back catalog, nothing. Just a name on a lineup and a whole lot of questions. Now they've got answers, and the biggest one just dropped today. Their debut full-length album, Blood of Your Empire, is coming September 4 via Atlantic Records.
The announcement came alongside the release of a new single, Doom Loop, which is out now with a music video you can watch on YouTube. The frontman described the track as being about "the strange tragedy of time, how we spend our lives chasing it, wasting it, and fearing it, only to realise its value once a moment is gone." It's the third single off the record following Angel Wings and Mercy.
What the Album Is About
If you've been following President at all, you know the themes run deep. Their 2025 King of Terrors EP racked up over 50 million Spotify streams and set a pretty high bar for a band that didn't exist in the public eye until a festival poster confused everyone. Blood of Your Empire picks up where that left off. According to the band, the album "was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality and humanity's relationship with faith."
I'll be real, that's heavier subject matter than most bands are willing to touch with a ten-foot pole. The frontman has been clear that this isn't an anti-religion or anti-government project. It's personal. It's about wrestling with the big questions that keep you up at night. And based on the singles so far, that internal tension translates into some genuinely gripping music.
The artwork is worth mentioning too. It features the band's logo alongside Eugène Delacroix's The Battle of Poitiers, the famous painting that hangs in the Louvre. It fits the whole vibe perfectly.
Full Tracklist
The record clocks in at 10 tracks, and there are some interesting details in the lineup. Track 9, Hate Figure, features Ando San, a prog/hip-hop artist who has supported the band in the past and is signed to the same management company, Future History. And if Dionysus sounds familiar, that's because it originally appeared on the King of Terrors EP. Here's the full tracklist:
1. Angel Wings
2. DOOM LOOP
3. dark heaven
4. Pink Noise
5. Mercy
6. Sleepwalker
7. Dionysus
8. This Will Divide Us
9. Hate Figure (feat. Ando San)
10. White Devil
North American Headline Tour
Here's where it gets really good. President are heading out on a full North American headline run this fall, kicking off on album release day, September 4, at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville. The tour wraps up on October 14 at House of Blues in Dallas. They're fresh off supporting Bad Omens on a North American arena run earlier this year, so stepping into the headline slot feels like a natural next move.

Cenobia and Showing Teeth will be on support for the full run. Solid billing all around.

The Bigger Picture
Honestly, the trajectory here is wild. This band went from a mystery name on a festival poster to overflowing a tent at Download, to an EP with 50 million streams, to opening arenas with Bad Omens, to now headlining their own North American tour on the same day their debut album drops. All of that in roughly a year. The comparisons to Sleep Token are inevitable, and they share the same management company in Future History. But President are carving out their own lane. The metalcore-meets-electronica sound, the exploration of mortality and faith, the visual identity with that eerie silver-haired mask. It's its own thing.
They're also playing Slam Dunk Festival this weekend in the UK, plus they've got Nova Rock, Rock for People, and Copenhell on the European festival circuit this summer before the album cycle kicks into full gear in September.
If you haven't checked them out yet, go listen to Doom Loop and work your way back through the singles. And if they're hitting a city near you this fall, don't sleep on those tickets. This one's going to move fast.
