156/Silence just announced a 19-date fall U.S. headlining tour, and the lineup they've put together is genuinely impressive. The Pittsburgh metalcore outfit will be hitting the road with Aviana, HEAVENSGATE, and fromjoy starting September 9th. The whole run is built around the release of their new album From a Distance, which drops September 4th via Pure Noise Records. Five days between album release and tour kickoff. That's how you do it.

VIP packages are available now through the homies at @sound_rink, and the public on-sale is set for this Friday, June 12th at 10:00am local time. You can grab tickets through the band's official site or Ticketmaster.

About the New Album

From a Distance is the band's sixth album and their first for Pure Noise Records. It follows up 2024's People Watching, and from what we know so far, it's shaping up to be their most ambitious work yet. The album was produced by Josh Schroeder, who's worked with Lorna Shore, The Plot In You, and King 810. That alone tells you the sonic territory they're operating in.

The record pulls influence from horror, prestige television, and retro game soundtracks. It bounces between hard rock, experimental textures, and the chaotic mathcore roots that made people pay attention in the first place. There's also a stacked guest list. Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism shows up on Collateral, Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada appears on Cannon Fodder, and Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer closes things out on the title track. Honestly, the feature list alone tells you this album is going to hit different.

The lead single No Arms is already out, and it's a strong first look at where the band is heading. The music video, directed by Errick Easterday, is worth a watch if you haven't caught it yet.

The Support Acts

I'll be real, this undercard is legitimately exciting. All three support acts bring something different to the table, and the international spread is a nice touch.

Aviana are a Swedish metalcore band out of Gothenburg. They've been building serious momentum over the last couple years. Their 2025 album VOID put them on a lot of people's radars, blending metalcore with djent and nu-metal in a way that just works. Earlier this year they were out with ERRA and Currents on the Silence Follows Tour, so if you caught them on that run, you already know what they bring live.

HEAVENSGATE are coming all the way from Melbourne, Australia. They've been on a tear since forming in 2020, dropping two EPs that both landed. Their 2025 EP A Heart Is a Heavy Burden was their first release on Pure Noise Records, making them labelmates with 156/Silence. They've been touring hard in North America this year, including supporting The Amity Affliction and August Burns Red earlier this spring. If you haven't heard them yet, tracks like Chemical Heaven and Petrichor are a good place to start.

fromjoy rounds out the bill, and they're one of those bands that's hard to pin down in the best way possible. Their sound mixes metallic hardcore, mathcore, breakcore, and electronic elements, with vaporwave-inspired synths and melodies cutting through the chaos. They've been out with The Acacia Strain and The Callous Daoboys recently, so they're very much in the thick of the heavy touring circuit right now.

Quick note: HEAVENSGATE and fromjoy will not be on the Louder Than Life date on September 20th. That one's a festival appearance for 156/Silence and Aviana.

The Bigger Picture

156/Silence are in the middle of a packed 2026. They're currently wrapping up dates alongside Thornhill, Fox Lake, and Vianova, then they'll hit some headline shows and Inkcarceration before joining Chiodos for a summer run with sace6 and Calva Louise. After this fall headliner wraps up, they've also got a European/UK tour booked with The Devil Wears Prada, Novelists, and Oversize. The trajectory here is undeniable.

This is one of those tours where every band on the bill is bringing something different, and every act is worth showing up early for. The combination of Aviana from Sweden, HEAVENSGATE from Australia, and fromjoy from the U.S. gives the whole thing a global feel you don't always get on a club run. Don't sleep on this one. Hit up @sound_rink for VIP packages and grab your tickets when the public sale opens Friday.
