ShipRocked 2027 Drops Massive Lineup With Papa Roach and Ice Nine Kills

ShipRocked just dropped the first wave lineup for 2027 and honestly, this one's looking like a problem for your wallet. Papa Roach, Ice Nine Kills, Highly Suspect, Nothing More, and a deep undercard of nearly 30 bands are heading out on the Carnival Horizon for a week at sea. The 17th edition of the rock cruise sails January 24 through 30, 2027 out of Miami, and staterooms are already running thin.
The Full First Wave
The headlining tier is stacked. Papa Roach leads the charge alongside Ice Nine Kills, Nothing More, Highly Suspect, Badflower, Set It Off, and Magnolia Park. That's a wide range of rock right there, from the nu-metal veterans to the horror-metal theatrical kings to the newer wave coming up.
The supporting lineup goes even deeper: Upon A Burning Body, Wargasm, Des Rocs, Caskets, Ekoh, Aurorawave, The Barbarians of California, buffalo_farm, The Dark.FM, Fury In Few, Good Terms, Kami Kehoe, Muttlee, Nate Bergman, Scarhaven, Sludge Mother, TX2, Vana, and Waxed. More bands plus the lineup for the all-star side project The Stowaways are still to come.
Where These Headliners Are At Right Now
Papa Roach is in the middle of a massive run right now. Their "Rise of the Roach" world tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of Infest, and the production they're bringing out for it is apparently their biggest ever. They've got July dates lined up with Silverstein, Story of the Year, Set It Off, and more, plus a UK and Ireland headline run in November. They've also been teasing new album number twelve, and just dropped the single "Wake Up Calling." Jacoby Shaddix sounds ready to bring that energy to the open water. His words: "We've had some unforgettable moments on ShipRocked, and the 2027 edition will bring even more."
Ice Nine Kills have been on a tear. After spending two and a half years supporting Metallica on their global stadium tour, they capped it off with a headlining show at London's OVO Arena Wembley. They've been dropping singles like "Twisting the Knife" featuring McKenna Grace, "A Work of Art," "The Great Unknown," and "The Laugh Track" as they build toward a follow-up to 2021's The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. Spencer Charnas is already leaning into the nautical puns, calling ShipRocked "a (killer) whale of a time." That checks out.
Highly Suspect released their fifth album As Above, So Below in July 2024 and have been keeping things moving with the new single "Yellow Roses." Johnny Stevens had maybe the most relatable quote of the whole announcement. He just wants to eat pizza on the back of the boat with strangers and watch people do karaoke. Honestly, same.

The Route and the Ship
The cruise departs Miami on January 24 aboard the Carnival Horizon, making port at Mahogany Bay in Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico before returning on January 30. Roatan is a first for ShipRocked, which is a nice change of scenery for the veterans who've been on multiple sailings. The ship itself has all the usual cruise amenities, a first-class spa, water park, IMAX theater, and plenty of bars. You know, the essentials.
This year's theme is "ShipRocked Samurai," and the cruise will once again be hosted by the legendary cruise director Cookie. Beyond the music, expect the usual ShipRocked chaos: photo meet-and-greets with artists, live band karaoke, dodgeball tournaments, a blackjack tournament, an onboard tattoo parlor, heavy metal morning yoga, and a whole lot of bonding with strangers who become lifelong friends. That's the thing about this cruise. It's not just a floating festival. It's a community.
Pre-Party and Charity
If you're booked, the trip actually starts a day early. There's a free pre-party and concert on January 23 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour, just south of downtown Miami. Bands for the pre-party will be announced in the coming months.
I'll also mention this because it matters. ShipRocked's annual Cancer Sucks! charity auction raised a record-breaking $200,000 during the 2026 cruise, pushing their total to over $1.2 million raised to date for cancer research. That's real impact from a community that genuinely shows up for each other.
Don't Sleep on This
I'll be real, last year's sailing sold out with 4,100 guests and was the biggest ShipRocked ever. Only a limited number of staterooms remain for 2027, and with this lineup, they're not going to last. If you've been thinking about it, now is the time. Head over to ShipRocked.com and lock in your spot before they're gone.
