I Prevail Drop Massive New Single Paradise Featuring Amira Elfeky

I Prevail just dropped a brand new single and it's a big one. "Paradise" is a collaboration with Los Angeles-based nu-metal and alt-rock vocalist Amira Elfeky, and if you haven't heard it yet, go fix that immediately. The track pairs the band's aggressive metalcore sound with Elfeky's dark, atmospheric vocals, blending electronic textures, cinematic keyboards, and heavy percussion into something that feels genuinely fresh.

You can stream "Paradise" right now on all platforms here, and the official music video, directed by Orie McGinness (who's previously worked with Bad Omens and Poppy), is up on YouTube.

How the Collaboration Came Together

This wasn't some forced label pairing. The band said the whole thing happened organically, and honestly, you can hear it. I Prevail put it best in their own statement: "We've been fans of Amira for a while. She has such a distinct sound and style. The opportunity to write together came up super organically and we instantly connected on this crazy concept for a song. We all saw the vision for it almost right away."

Vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe went into more detail on The Mistress Carrie Podcast, explaining that the band rented an Airbnb with guitarist Steve Menoian and bassist/producer Jon Eberhard to start building an instrumental before heading into the studio with Elfeky. When they played the rough idea for her, she didn't hesitate. She wanted to work on that track. From there, they built the song around a back-and-forth dynamic, trading melodic and harsh vocals. And when Elfeky stepped into the booth and started screaming, Vanlerberghe was blown away.

"I was taken aback, but not because I didn't expect it. It was better than I could imagine," Vanlerberghe said. "By the end of the session, it was like, 'Nah, this is it. I don't wanna touch any of it. You crushed it.'"

Who Is Amira Elfeky?

If you're not familiar with Amira Elfeky yet, you will be soon. The Egyptian-American singer-songwriter grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut before relocating to Los Angeles, where she started crafting songs influenced by 90s alternative rock like Nirvana and early 2000s nu-metal acts like Deftones and Linkin Park. She released her first songs in 2023, dropped her debut EP Skin to Skin in March 2024, and followed it up with her second EP Surrender in March 2025. She's signed to Anemoia Records, an imprint of Atlantic, and has already collaborated with Architects on their track "Judgement Day" from their 2025 album The Sky, the Earth & All Between.

She's one of the fastest-rising voices in Gen Z's nu-metal revival and she's just getting started. The fact that I Prevail sought her out for this says a lot about where she's at right now.

A Standalone Single, Not an Album Track

Vanlerberghe confirmed that "Paradise" is a standalone single written after the band finished their latest album Violent Nature. It won't be part of a new record, though he floated the idea of a deluxe edition of Violent Nature or a small EP down the line.

He also got real about the evolving landscape of how bands release music. "I'm always the guy that's like, 'No, it's gotta be a record,'" he admitted. "And I just don't know if that's true anymore. I don't think bands need to absolutely do albums." The idea of sitting on a song that doesn't fit a future album's vibe just because it doesn't have a home? That doesn't make sense to him anymore. If the song's too good not to release, you put it out.

I'll be real, that's the right mindset. Especially when the song hits like this one does.

I Prevail in 2026

I Prevail has been on a tear. They're a platinum-certified, two-time Grammy-nominated band at this point. Trauma earned them a "Best Rock Album" nomination, "Bow Down" got a nod for "Best Metal Performance," and their single "Hurricane" hit number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2020. They've put out four studio albums, from Lifelines in 2016 to Violent Nature in 2025, and the trajectory has been straight up.

The band did go through a significant lineup change last year, parting ways with co-vocalist Brian Burkheiser in May 2025 after his battle with Eagle's syndrome forced him to step away from touring. Vanlerberghe has since taken on the full vocal role, with guitarist Dylan Bowman stepping in on cleans. By all accounts, the transition has been smooth, and the band sounds as hungry as ever.

Their approach to writing has shifted too. Instead of the old cycle of touring for months and then locking down to write a full record, the band has been creating on the road. Renting studios and Airbnbs during off days, staying in the creative zone constantly. That's how "Paradise" came to life, and it sounds like there's more where that came from.

Here's where it gets even better. Amira Elfeky isn't just a studio collaborator on this one. She's joining I Prevail on their massive Violent Nature Tour across the UK and Europe this fall, alongside Australian metalcore heavyweights Polaris. That means they'll have a brand new song to perform together live. Pretty sick.
