Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid Are Taking Over a Vegas Pool in October

Two of the biggest names in California reggae-rock are linking up for a poolside weekend in Las Vegas this fall, and honestly, the whole thing sounds like a perfect end-of-summer sendoff.
Vegas Vibes 2026 Poolside goes down October 10 and 11 at The Sandbar at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas. Dirty Heads headline Saturday night, Slightly Stoopid close it out on Sunday, and the undercard runs deep enough to make this way more than a two-band weekend.
The Lineup, Day by Day
Saturday, October 10 belongs to Dirty Heads, with The Hip Abduction and Tropidelic warming things up poolside.
Sunday, October 11 is all Slightly Stoopid, with The Elovaters and DENM rounding out the bill.
Eli-Mac performs both nights, which is a seriously nice touch for a weekend like this.
Why This Weekend Hits Different
I'll be real, getting both of these bands on one weekend is already a win. Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid have basically been the backbone of the modern reggae-rock scene for the better part of two decades. Either one headlining a pool party in Vegas would sell itself. Both of them across two nights, at a resort venue with open-air vibes and easy access to drinks? That's a no-brainer.
Dirty Heads will be deep into their 2026 run by then. Their ninth studio album, 7 Seas, dropped June 12 via Better Noise Music, and they're spending the summer co-headlining the So Glad You Made It Tour with 311 across North America. That run kicks off July 11 in Shakopee and stretches through August 30, hitting cities like Chicago, Denver, Toronto, Austin, and Tampa along the way. By October, expect the new material to be road-tested and locked in. If you've ever caught Dirty Heads live when they're rolling through tracks like "Vacation," "Lay Me Down," and "Cabin by the Sea," you know how those songs hit in an outdoor setting.

Slightly Stoopid are having a massive 2026 of their own. They kicked off the summer headlining and curating the inaugural Field Of Dreamz Festival at Petco Park in San Diego on June 13, pulling in Sublime, Stephen Marley, Pepper, and more. Their Road Trippin Summer Tour is stacked with festival appearances at BottleRock, BeachLife, and Reggae Rise Up, plus a co-headline with Sublime and 311 at Fiddler's Green in Denver on August 7 and their 20th headline show at Red Rocks on August 8. The Vegas Vibes date on October 11 actually falls right after their Cali Road Trippin' run wraps up at Thunder Valley Casino in Sacramento on October 10, so this is a logical extension of a band that'll be absolutely dialed in by mid-fall.
The Supporting Cast Is No Joke
The undercard here isn't filler. The Elovaters and DENM are recurring touring partners with Slightly Stoopid and have been all over their 2026 dates, including the Cali Road Trippin' stop at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford on October 9. The Hip Abduction and Tropidelic are both well-traveled in this circuit, with both confirmed on the 2026 Point Break Music Festival bill alongside Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, Sublime, and Rebelution. These are all acts that know how to set a mood, and that matters when the stage is next to a pool.
October in Vegas Is the Move
If you've ever been to Vegas in July, you know the pool sounds great in theory until you're standing in 115 degrees wondering why you left the air conditioning. October is a completely different story. The desert finally cools down, the weather is actually pleasant, and you can enjoy being outside without melting. It's genuinely the sweet spot for something like this.
The Sandbar at Red Rock is a solid venue for it too. Open-air poolside shows with good sound, resort access, dining, and drinks all right there. It's the kind of setup where you show up in the afternoon and don't leave until the headliner wraps.
Don't Sleep on This One
If a Vegas pool party soundtracked by your entire summer playlist sounds like your kind of weekend, keep an eye on Reggae Rise Up for tickets and details. Between Dirty Heads riding a brand new album, Slightly Stoopid coming off a monster summer, and a supporting lineup that goes way deeper than it has to, this is two days you don't want to miss. Round up the crew.
