Mareaux Bring Darkwave to DTLA

Downtown LA was the proper location to descend into the shadows for a night with Mareux. This past Saturday, darkwave took over The Novo following the band’s stop at the Fox Theater in Pomona, with support from La Texana, who had the crowd moving and dancing early in the night. Mareux performed fan favorites like “Killer” and “The Perfect Girl,” erupting the audience into excitement, while also digging into deeper cuts such as “Inamorata” from their 2018 catalog and tracks like “Laugh Now Cry Later” off their latest midnight-drive staple album, Nonstop Romance.

With a beautifully concluded performance, Mareux now prepares to head to San Francisco’s Homesick Fest on January 31. Evvntly was on site covering the night with photos, capturing the atmosphere and energy throughout the set.
