Machine Girl at The Observatory North Park
The night of March 18th was one of the most memorable nights at a show I’ve ever had. The Observatory North Park held a spectacular performance by Machine Girl along with openers LustSickPuppy and Show Me The Body. This carte blanche group of three, Machine Girl, is so unique I have yet to find a genre to place them under. Their digital hardcore sound and Aphex Twin influence really brought the most tumultuous artists into the audience. People who attended dressed up in a large variation of styles; some gothic, some angelic, others bright and colorful. The PsychoWarrior tour started on February 27th in Jersey City, NJ and is currently making its way through California before coming to an end back in Brooklyn, NY.

LustSickPuppy
LustSickPuppy is a new and upcoming artist who has been making appearances in an abundance of amazing lineups. She started the show with a bang, her techno-rap style had the entire venue jumping and trading Kandi.

Show Me The Body
Show Me The Body, a more punk oriented band, was the second act. Everyone was in the mosh pit, arms up in the air swinging shirts around. Show Me The Body originated in New York in 2009, their first song being made in just high school. Seeing how far they’ve come brought tears to my eyes.

Machine Girl
Then of course, Machine Girl was the final act. Glowing wires were strung across the stage all connected to the female cyborg centerpiece, going with the Machine Girl theme.

Matt Stephenson, a performer you’ll never forget. During various songs he jumped into the crowd and ran around with fans, crowd surfed, climbed merch tables, and ran around the venue whilst performing.

The drummer, Sean Kelly, is otherworldly. I have never seen a drummer play breakcore drums live until him.

Their newest member, Lucy Caputi, screams "We Don’t Give a Fuck" as one of their opening songs.

Overall, this performance was the most energetic and memorable performance I’ve photographed so far and the venue supported their artistic visuals perfectly. I cannot wait to see them perform live again… until next time.
